LEGO my Eggo Robotics, Idaho's m.e. FIRST Ambassador
The Problem
"Stigma related to menstruation and unaffordable or inaccessible period products can cause severe anxiety and ruin experiences. More than 80% of US students have missed class or know someone who has because they lacked access to products and 86% of women have started their period in public without the supplies needed.
Menstrual equity is a health issue. Lack of product access and using pads and tampons longer than recommended risks reproductive tract infections and Toxic Shock Syndrome, which can be fatal." - The Space Cookies
The Solution
The Space Cookies FRC team # 1868 started m.e. FIRST because no one in the FIRST community should be unable to locate and/or pay for necessary menstrual products. A continuation of their award-winning 2021 Innovation Project, the goal is to provide free pads and tampons at FIRST competitions, removing barriers related to menstruation to enable safe, healthy, and enjoyable events.
LEGO my Eggo Robotics is excited to be the m.e. FIRST ambassador for Idaho. We are also excited to bring further awareness to the issue of menstrual equity and educate not only all members on our team, but also our community.

Your team can help by signing up as a m.e. FIRST Ambassador and making products available at your events.
